TEASER TRAILER: 'Carrie'

Getting the word on the new adaptation of Stephen King's horror classic Carrie is in full swing. The stars and filmmakers made an East Coast appearance at New York Comic Con over the weekend. Stars Julianne Moore, Chloë Grace Moretz, and director Kimberly Peirce took the stage to present this trailer and answer fan questions to a packed audience in the IGN Theater.

Yahoo! Movies got the online scoop for the first live action look at the film, which promises to stay closer to the source material, but maintains some iconic imagery first put on the big screen in 1976 that showcased the horrific telekinetic powers the tormented teen possessed.

The original film starred Sissy Spacek as Carrie White and was directed by Brian De Palma (who gave his blessing on the remake, passing the torch to Boys Don't Cry helmer Kimberly Peirce).

You can check out the teaser one sheet released last week in time for NYCC here.

Carrie is set to hit theaters on March 15th, 2013.

NYCC 2012 INTERVIEW: Kevin Smith Talks 'Comic Book Men' Season Two Return (and Following 'The Walking Dead')

On Friday I caught up wth Kevin Smith and his Comic Book Men cohorts Walk Flanagan, Mike Zapcic, Bryan Johnson and Ming Chen at New York Comic Con for rountable interviews to talk up tonight's season two premiere of their hit AMC show.

There was much discussed during the fun, laid back Q&A's, and to no one's surprise Kevin had a lot to say on a lot of different topics, Comic Book Men related or otherwise. So I will bring you much more from those interviews soon. But as far as tonight's sophomore year kickoff goes, here is what Kevin had to say about the last minute opportunity of getting to NYCC for promote it, and as expected, in the blunt manner he is famous for putting forward.

"We weren't even supposed to be here. I sound like Dante, 'We weren't even supposed to be here today,' but we weren't until like two weeks ago I think," Smith said, catching himself quoting Dante Hicks from Clerks

"But basically there was no intention of coming to the Comic Con until the dust cleared from this season's shooting, and we were like 'Hey, we have time and I guess we start on Sunday.' It's not us going like 'Superman will save us!' but we do live in the Metropolis of The Walking Dead. So we never feel all that like 'We gotta push this show,' because we are in the wake of a f**king juggernaut," he pointed out in regards to the rollover viewers tuned into AMC on Sunday nights.

"Even if we retain a little piece of its audience, we're fine. So there's never like a sense of like 'Holy sh*t! We gotta press this show really hard.' But New York Comic Con is happening, these guys are like 45 minutes outside of the city, I was gonna be on the East Coast for the Boston show I'm doing tomorrow night. So I was like 'Let's be at the New York Comic Con again,' and boom, we got to be involved."

Despite Smith's confidence in the secure post-Walking Dead time slot, if a show doesn't click with a audience, people won't watch it. Comic Book Men fits in perfectly to the Sunday night line-up anchored by the blockbuster television Zombie juggernaut, its immediate re-run, and then the Chris Hardwick hosted live re-cap show Talking Dead.

Comic Book Men airs on AMC on Sundays at 11:30PM.

NEW YORK COMIC CON 2012: New 'Arrow' Preview Reel

Warner Bros. Television hosted their Arrow panel and fan Q&A at New York Comic Con today with stars Stephen Amell, Katie Cassidy and Willa Holland. A impressive new preview trailer for the show was debuted, which teased what is yet to come on the following weeks.

Arrow had its season premiere on Wednesday night and hit a bulls eye in the ratings for The CW. The show's first episode hit a 1.3 rating (in the 18-49 demographic) and 4.02 million viewers, which was the network's best performing premiere since The Vampire Diaries. Arrow was the most watched show in three years for The CW.

The sizzle reel also gives us a great sneak peek montage of DC Universe characters and guest-stars making their way into the series including Torchwood‘s John Barrowman as the “Well-Dressed Man,” China White (played by X2‘s Kelly Hu), Deadshot (Michael Rowe), and the Huntress/Helena Bertinelli (Jessica De Gouw).

TRAILER: 'Mockingbird Lane' To Air For Halloween PLUS New Pics!

The Hollywood Reporter got the scoop that NBC will air the pilot episode of Mockingbird Lane on Friday, October 26th. It may not go much further than that, as there has been no series pick-up announcement. So this first episode of the network's reboot of The Munsters will be an early Halloween present for those who were aware of it, and interested to see it. Few pilots that don't go to series are so lucky to ever make it to broadcast. Usually they are just buried and forgotten (you have to scour the internet to find clips from David E. Kelly's NBC Wonder Woman reboot pilot from last year).

Directed by Bryan Singer, and produced by Bryan Fuller, the proposed high concept horror series starred Jerry O'Connell (Herman), Portia de Rossi (Lily), and Eddie Izzard (Grandpa).

NBC released some new official stills and the preview trailer promoting the broadcast night. In the sneak peek you can hear a slight nod in music to the original series' theme, and it looks like Spot has not only had a big budget makeover, but finally gets out from under the staircase!
