See Optimus Prime Dodge Explosions In These 'Transformers 4' Set Videos

Transformers 4 is currently shooting action scenes near Adrian, Michigan. The first video here mainly shows the re-vamped Optimus Prime in vehicle mode rolling through some explosions, and the second clip also features the recently revealed Freightliner truck following (or chasing) Prime down the rural road.

Also worth noting are these pics from the Texas set last month of a rusted cab-over-engine truck that bears a heavy resemblance to the classic 1984 version of Optimus Prime. It's probably no coincidence  but looking closer you can also spot traces of faded painted flames, which Bay famously adornes to his big screen versions of the Autobot leader with.

Set for release on June 27, 2014, Michael Bay returns to direct his fourth big screen round of Transformers, whose events takes place five years following the destruction of Chicago in 2011's  Dark of the Moon. The film promises to jump start the series in a new direction with revamped versions of the familiar robotic alien heroes and villains. Mark Wahlberg stars with Kelsey Grammar, Stanley Tucci, T.J. Miller, Nicola Peltz, Sophia Myles, Bingbing Li and of course Peter Cullen (returning to provide the iconic voice of Optimus Prime).

Newest Pictures of Jamie Foxx as Electro / Max Dillion from the Set of 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2'

Its a tough gig in this day and age trying to keep secrets on a movie set, and once a production starts shooting exterior scenes, all bets are off. There is no way photos will not capture what is being filmed, especially if your are on the set of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, currently shooting in the Big Apple.

Yesterday TASM2 director Marc Webb tweeted the first official look of Jamie Foxx on the set as Max Dillion, the alter ego of super villain Electro. His gap teeth, huge awkward glasses and uncooperative hairline suggest this may the type of geeky fellow who when bestowed with super powers, may have issues handling them with the necessary TLC.

New behind-the-scenes pics have surfaced (thanks to JoBlo for the heads up), showing us more of Jamie's Oscorp drone before his character morphs into the evil Electro (adding to the images that have already surfaced from a Times Square scene filmed last week with Foxx in a hoodie and glowing with electrical power).

Go Behind-the-Scenes of 'The Avengers' Epic New York City Battle

Of the many memorable sequences that hit the big screen in 2012, one of the hands down highlights was the climatic battle between Earth's Mightiest Heroes and Loki's alien Chitauri army in Marvel's The Avengers.

The wizards at Industrial Light & Magic have shared a fascinating three-minute video that takes us behind-the-scenes and reveals the digital miracles involved in creating the epic final battle in the decimated streets near New York City's Grand Central Station. Joss Whedon's team-up of Marvel's big screen of super heroes is beyond worldwide hit, grossing over $1.5 billion dollars at the box office.

Take a look at how the visual effects team at ILM painstakingly assembled some of the amazing shots that helped bring to life the final exciting half hour of The Avengers.

8mm Behind-The-Scenes Footage From 'Return of the Jedi' Hits The Web

Courtesy of filmmaker Jeff Broz, seven minutes of grainy silent behind-the-scenes footage from the 1982 set of Return of the Jedi have hit the web.

This footage was shot as the the film was going under the faux production name Blue Harvest in the Buttercup Valley, CA desert. We get some backstage looks at the battle on Jabba the Hutt's Sail Barge (which is built high above the ground) above the Sarlaac Pit.

In A Documentary By Jeff Broz, the filmmaker is right there shooting action on the set, so this is not paparazzi footage from the pre TMZ and CGI era of 1982. He titles his doc as shot in 'Sand-O-Vision' and captures most of the scenes for the sequence of Luke Skywalker's battle after escaping death by digestion by the monstrous living pit.

We get glimpses of Anthony Daniels out of his C-3P0 costume before shooting, Boba Fett being hoisted into the air from place to place, R2-D2 shooting Luke's lightsaber into the air, Mark Hamill fighting Jabba's guards, Carrie Fisher running around in her iconic metal slave girl bikini, and George Lucas is spotted as well.

Thanks to /Film for finding this gem of a look back at the film and getting the word out.

'Avengers' Preview: Hulk Vs. Thor Behind-The-Scenes

With Marvel's The Avengers on the perch to top the $1billion mark at the international box office in the next day or two, I would assume that there are more fans out there who have seen it than those who haven't. That said, The Daily has posted an amazing behind-the-scenes ILM featurette on the Hulk with sneak peeks at many action scenes he is in from the film.

ILM's Visual Effects Supervisor Jeff White talks about the detailed multi-layered process of bringing the Hulk to the big screen and incorporating Mark Ruffalo on set to perform live in character as much as possible, despite the fact that White approximates the Hulk would weigh in between 1100-1600 pounds in real life.

There are also some cool behind-the-scenes-pictures from the face off that takes place between the Hulk and Thor. The pics show how things can look on set when complicated special effects will be added in later as director Joss Whedon and Chris Hemsworth interact with the Hulk's bald stand-in. The finished scene has all the trapping of what fans would have ever hoped to see on the big screen with the gamma rayed rage of the Hulk battling it out against the mystical powers of the Norse God of Thunder. And let's not leave Thor's hammer, Mjölnir, out of this scuffle either.
