New Images from Spike Lee's 'OLDBOY' Are Here

New stills from Spike Lee's take on Oldboy have been revealed, including a first look at Elizabeth Olsen as Marie. If you are familiar with the original version, you know what to expect, and that would be a hard time sleeping that night. The crew involved in this version promise to stay loyal to the source material, but also amp things up in a different way, if that is possible. This easily has the makings of a true standout directorial effort for Lee, if handled correctly and bravely pulls no punches.

Here is the official synopsis:

"Oldboy follows the story of an advertising executive (Josh Brolin) who is kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement without any indication of his captor’s motive. When he is inexplicably released, he embarks on an obsessive mission to discover who orchestrated his bizarre and torturous punishment only to find he is still trapped in a web of conspiracy and torment. His quest for revenge leads him into an ill-fated relationship with a young social worker (Elizabeth Olsen) and ultimately to an illusive man (Sharlto Copley) who allegedly holds the key to his salvation."

Directed by Spike Lee, Oldboy is set to hit theaters on November 27th, and stars Josh Brolin, Elizabeth Olsen, Sharlto Copley, Samuel L. Jackson, Lance Reddick and Michael Imperioli.

You can check out our previous post with pics of Jamie Foxx on the set as Electro HERE.

Newest Pictures of Jamie Foxx as Electro / Max Dillion from the Set of 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2'

Its a tough gig in this day and age trying to keep secrets on a movie set, and once a production starts shooting exterior scenes, all bets are off. There is no way photos will not capture what is being filmed, especially if your are on the set of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, currently shooting in the Big Apple.

Yesterday TASM2 director Marc Webb tweeted the first official look of Jamie Foxx on the set as Max Dillion, the alter ego of super villain Electro. His gap teeth, huge awkward glasses and uncooperative hairline suggest this may the type of geeky fellow who when bestowed with super powers, may have issues handling them with the necessary TLC.

New behind-the-scenes pics have surfaced (thanks to JoBlo for the heads up), showing us more of Jamie's Oscorp drone before his character morphs into the evil Electro (adding to the images that have already surfaced from a Times Square scene filmed last week with Foxx in a hoodie and glowing with electrical power).

Cobra Villains Highlight New Images from 'G.I. Joe: Retaliation'

Some new images from G.I. Joe: Retaliation surfaced today on Comingsoon.net. The evil Cobra villains are the focus here, including a clear shot of Cobra Commander among his troops with Storm Shadow and a squad of red ninjas. Old school Joe fans should be happy to see the Cobra leader will be wearing the classic chrome faced helmet, rather than the strange and unsightly breathing apparatus revealed at the end of 2009's G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.

Directed by John M. Chu and set to hit theaters on March 28th in 3D, G.I. Joe Retaliation stars Dwayne Johnson (Roadblock), D.J. Cotrona (Flint), Adrianne Palicki (Lady Jaye), Ray Stevenson (Firefly), Channing Tatum (Duke), RZA (Blind Master), Byung-hun Lee (Storm Shadow), Elodie Yung (Jinx), Bruce Willis (Joe Colton), Ray Park (Snake Eyes) and Arnold Vosloo (Zartan).

'Arrow' Episode 5 Preview Pics Target Deathstroke

Last night's tense episode of Arrow not only gave fans a not-so-subtle foreshadow to Laurel Lance's future as Black Canary, but brought Deathstroke fully into the show's storyline.

The DC Comics' villain was hinted at in the pilot episode, with a reveal of his mask on the shore of the desolate island where Oliver Queen spends five brutal years of survival, training, and torture.

Spoiler images to come. In the pics below from Damaged, the fifth episode set to air on November 7th, we can see that Deathstroke (Jeffrey Robinson) has a deadly violent past with Stephen Amell's Arrow ever before they crossed paths again in Starling City in last night's episode. So far Arrow has been gaining steady ground as a solid action packed show, with plenty of nods for comic book fans including Kelly Hu's recent turn as China White, plus upcoming appearances from The Royal Flush Gang and The Huntress.

Keep in mind we still have next week's episode, An Innocent Man, to go before Deathstroke is revealed in full costume on the island. Spoilers follow the preview...

From The CW on Episode 5, Damaged:

"DC COMICS’ VILLAIN DEATHSTROKE APPEARS ON THE ISLAND WITH OLIVER — After Detective Lance (Paul Blackthorne) arrests Oliver (Stephen Amell) for murder, Oliver tells Moira (Susanna Thompson) the only lawyer he’ll allow to represent him is Laurel (Katie Cassidy). Laurel takes the case which puts her at odds with her father. Oliver offers to take a polygraph in front Detective Lance but things get tense when Lance asks him if anyone else was on the island with him. Oliver flashes back to when he got his first scar, courtesy of Deathstroke (guest star Jeffrey Robinson). Colin Donnell, David Ramsey and Willa Holland also star. Michael Shultz directed the episode written by Wendy Mericle & Ben Sokolowski"

Arrow airs on The CW on Wedensdays at 9pm. An Innocent Man airs on October 31, and Damaged will air on November 7th.
