Two New Preview Clips From 'Doctor Who: The Snowmen' Just In Time For Christmas!

We have two new sneak preview clips to enjoy before tomorrow night's annual Doctor Who Christmas Special makes its worldwide debut.

The Snowmen is the last new adventure in 2012 for the Doctor and marks the highly anticipated debut of Jenna Louise-Coleman as his new companion Clara in a Victorian-era timeline (which is a far cry from the surprise and baffling appearance she made as Oswin in Asylum of the Daleks set hundreds of years in the future).

In addition, there promises to be an updated title sequence and theme, as well a make-over for the TARDIS, which has sported a very earth toned and worn steampunk look for the past several years. The new aesthetic is a homage to the simpler look of control rooms of the past and reflects darker mood that is hinted to go along with the Doctor's state of mind heading into the second wave of Who's current season and 50th Anniversary.

New TARDIS Revealed For 'Doctor Who' Christmas Special

BBC announced this week there will be a revamped theme, opening titile sequence and teased a new design for the TARDIS when we next see the Doctor in the The Snowmen, the annual Doctor Who Christmas Special set to air on BBC America on December 25th.

We now have a full reveal of the Doctor's new threads and the updated console in the revamped control room of the iconic time machine. Jettisoning the recent crowded and very used steam punk aesthetic, this is certainly a look that pays homage to the TARDIS sets of the past, which seems appropriate with the series heading into its 50th Anniversary next year.

These new images from The Snowmen were also released, showing that the Doctor and his new companion Clara get friendly rather quickly in the episode.

PREVIEW - Doctor Who: The Power of Three

Check out the trailer and some sneak peek images to tomorrow night's fourth adventure from this season's Doctor Who: The Power of Three.

This will be the penultimate episode for 2012, as the fifth episode, the NYC-set The Angels Take Manhattan, will mark the final hour-long adventure of the year, and bid what promises to be a tearful farewell to the Doctor's popular companions, Amy and Rory.

As for tomorrow's episode, here is how the BBC describes it.

"The Doctor and the Ponds puzzle over an unlikely invasion of Earth, as millions of sinister black cubes arrive overnight..."

TRAILER: 'Doctor Who' Season 7

BBC released the new trailer to the Seventh Season (or Series Seven as they say across the pond) to Doctor Who, set to debut sometime this fall. While Matt Smith returns as the space hopping Time Lord for his third go round, this season promises a sad goodbye to his long time companions Amy and Rory.

The epsiode, which will air around the midpoint of the fourteen new adventures, was shot in New York City and will feature the fan favorite villains the Weeping Angels, as well and the return of River Song.

The Doctor will find himself a new companion in Jenna-Louise Coleman, who was announced to join the cast earlier this year, and will be introduced in the Doctor Who Christmas Special. There is no set air date for the series premiere or the Christmas Special as of yet, but it all promises to build up for the franchise's huge 50th Anniversary celebration in 2013.

TRAILER: 'Skyfall' #2

Hot on the heels of the unforgettable Olympics short film co-starring Daniel Craig and the newest Bond girl Queen Elizabeth II, the second trailer for Skyfall hit today. In addition to new juicy plot point hints, we get our first glimpse of Javier Bardem decked out in a blonde bouffant as 007's latest villain, Silva, as well as a little more from the new Q played by Ben Whishaw.

Skyfall, the 23rd James Bond adventure, and directed by Sam Mendes, is set to hit theaters and IMAX screens on November 9th.

PREVIEW: New 'Skyfall' Olympic Teaser

A new 30 second spot for the 23rd James Bond film, Skyfall, debuted during the Opening Ceremonies of the 2012 London Olympic Games. The next film in the series sees Daniel Craig return for his third turn as 007, and was directed by Sam Mendes.

The new look at the film followed the memorable short film directed by Danny Boyle that aired during the live broadcast that teamed up the iconic British MI6 super spy and Queen Elizabeth II. The tongue in cheek pre-recorded adventure concluded with a live parachute jump into Olympic Stadium.

James Bond Teams Up With The Queen For Olympic Parachute Glory

It was one of the 2012 London Opening Ceremony secrets that didn't stay secret months ahead of time, talk of this was out there on the open rumor circuit, but indeed show director Academy Award Winner Danny Boyle, managed to team up Daniel Craig's 007 and Queen Elizabeth II, who made her long awaited debut as a Bond Girl, in a tongue in cheek short film.

There were many prominent fictional and real life figures from UK history that made appearances during the four and a half hour event: Voldermort, Mary Poppins, JK Rowling, Rowan Atkison as Mr. Bean, David Beckham, Paul McCartney, and Daniel Craig as James Bond.

In the memorable spot, the iconic agent from Her Majesty's Secret Service enters Buckingham Palace alongside the Royal Corgis, with a mission to escort the Queen via helicopter transport to the Opening Ceremonies, complete with a climatic parachute jump.

'Doctor Who' Matt Smith Joins The Olympic Torch Relay

Yesterday Patrick Stewart was bestowed an honored place in the Olympic Torch Relay. Today sci-fi fans got to see another one of their favorite figures join the hallowed ranks: The Eleventh Doctor himself, Matt Smith.

In this interview with the BBC, Smith shares his thoughts about the privilege, who he will be passing the torch to following his sprint, and see him among fans, as well as prep, run, and pass.

This is not the first time The Doctor has carried the iconic flame on the road to the Opening Ceremony. Albeit fictitiously, David Tennant's Tenth Doctor was depicted in the Torch Relay for the London 2012 Olympics in the 2006 Who episode 'Fear Her.'

Make It So! Patrick Stewart Carries The Olympic Torch

Check out the video below to witness Sir Patrick Stewart take his turn on the Olympic Torch Relay earlier today in London. The legendary actor best known for his portrayal of Captain Jean-Luc Picard on Star Trek: The Next Generation and Professor Charles Xavier in the big screen X-Men series, was one of the latest participants carry the iconic symbol in the home stretch of the torch's 70-day trek to Olympic Stadium.

The Opening Ceremonies for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games engage on Friday, July 27th.
