'Saturday Night Live' Spoofs 'The Walking Dead'

Saturday Night Live took aim at The Walking Dead last night. The parody of the powerhouse AMC series was one of the few highlights of a very weak show hosted by comedian Kevin Hart. The skit was short enough to keep the humor tight and funny, and Nasim Pedrad's take on 12-year old Carl Grimes was a real winner.

TOY FAIR 2013: Rock Out With Peavey's 'Walking Dead' Predator Guitar

The guitar world ia about to get a little less alive this year, and not in a bad way. Peavey unveiled The Walking Dead Predator guitar and accessories at the 2013 Toy Fair featuring artwork by famed Dead artist Charlie Adlard.

Adlard's gruesome highly detailed images from the popular comic book and smash television series will appear on guitar straps and picks in addition to the amazing crimson Predator edition and Rockmaster six string.

Peavey’s The Walking Dead musical instruments and accessories will be available at specialty and major national retailers.

And while we are on The Walking Dead, be prepared for The Walking Dead Survival Edition of Monopoly and lunch boxes to round out your day of undead activities (and not from Peavey Electronics).

TOY FAIR 2013: New 'Walking Dead' Collectibles On Deck From McFarlane Toys

McFarlane Toys will not disappoint fans of The Walking Dead this year when it comes to the latest wave of collectibles and action figures and limited edition statues based on both the smash hit AMC show and the comic book series. The show began its run of part two of Season Three last Sunday and returned to the air with record ratings, so it goes without saying the public's fascination with all things zombies is not waning in popularity.

I stopped by the McFalane Toys booth again this year at the 2013 Toy Fair to see what's on the horizon for fans and collectors. For starters, in the fall we can look forward to the Season Three Limited Edition Blu-Ray. For the case, McFarlane meticulously re-created The Governor's creepy secret tank full of decapitated zombie heads, and created from scans of the actual props from the set for the utmost of authenticity. It will go along nicely with the Season Two Box Set which was housed in a gruesome flip-up Zombie head, which I talked to Todd McFarlane about last year.

Hitting stores in March are the Series 3 figures based on the TV show which include Michonne, her two zombie pets, Merle Dixon and the Autopsy Zombie.

Set for the fall in the Series Four line is the Carl Grimes 2 Up Figure, along with The Governor, Andrea, Riot Gear Zombie and Riot Gear Masked Zombie.

The latest limited edition resin statue depicts ass-kicking Michonne taking out a pair of zombies. McFarlane Toys went out in a limb and armed the popular character (played by Danai Gurira on the AMC series) with two swords. Each of the 1500 pieces will be individually numbered with an inscription from creator Robert Kirkman, stand over 14 inches tall, has a 360 degree rotating base, and will come with a certificate of authenticity hand-signed by Todd McFarlane.

TOY FAIR 2013: Check Out The Funko Side of 'The Walking Dead.'

The 2013 Toy Fair officially kicked off today the Javits Center, and NerdyRottenScoundrel.com will be there to bring you as much coverage as possible. In honor of tonight's mid-season premiere of AMC's The Walking Dead, I present the lighter side of the show courtesy of Funko.

Their Wacky Wobbler bobble head line incudes Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, Michonne, and the RV zombie. The Vinyl Figure Series 2 features Michonne, Glenn, the Tank Zombie and Michonne's Walkers.
